Organized Training Course in Handling MERS Cases

Sunday, 17/05/2015G, the Clinical Skills Department at King Abdulaziz University Hospital conducted a training course entitled “Training Trainers of the proper use of personal protective equipments while handling cases of HIV infection and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome)” using high-precision simulation. The program includes indentifying the training needs of medical teams in the field of emergency department,  intensive care unit, and in infection control unit. After this session, skills training courses will be provided to employees in the above mentioned units.

The training course was carried out in collaboration with the University Hospital and Clinical Skills and Simulation Department at the Faculty of Medicine. The Vice Dean University Hospital Director told that the program was aimed to support medical teams working in the University Hospital to develop special skills in dealing with such cases in the near future.
