Welcome to the Community Service Unit at the College of Medicine and University Hospital. Our vision is to lead in providing health services to the community through the use of modern technology and adherence to academic standards.

Benefits of volunteering: Hours registered on the national platform. Volunteering certificate from the unit accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and it is accepted.

Benefits of volunteering for students of King Abdulaziz University: Registering non-academic activity hours in addition to the volunteer hours registered on the national platform.

Objectives

  • To foster partnerships and collaborations with other colleges in the university that are interested in community service.
  • To leverage modern technology and social media platforms to promote our role, our services, and to raise awareness about the importance of community service programs and volunteer work.
  • To regularly hold courses, lectures, and seminars in cooperation with specialists in fields related to intellectually and culturally qualifying community groups, making community service a public duty.
  • To create measurement tools for each program and mechanisms for evaluation.
  • To exclusively document and approve volunteer work for community service programs within the College of Medicine and the University Hospital, and to prepare periodic reports for it and evaluate it.
  • To form relationships and activate partnerships with employers, local banks, companies, and charitable associations.
  • To highlight awareness and health education programs for the community inside and outside the University Hospital.
  • To contribute to the continuity of volunteer work and community service that stems from the College of Medicine.
  • To support charitable programs and charitable treatment.
  • To attract members and doctors to volunteer programs.
