To support the developmental process of the King Abdulaziz University was the creation of a distinct campus environment that is able to embrace all the efforts of its employee’s initiatives. From this prospective, College of Medicine created a special unit for strategic planning, which is considered one of the Agency's overall development units.
The unit will be dealing with strategic planning and representing the link between the college and the various sectors of the university.
Therefore, the unit will be working on meaningful and constructive plans and programs to help to the overall development in all fields.

Strategic Planning determines the course of actions that leads to greater efficiency and effectiveness through the presence of a specific and well-defined strategic plan therefore; we invite your strong and active participation in order to achieve the objectives of the unit.
objectives
- Solidify and spread the culture of strategic planning in the college.
- Follow up the execution of the college's current strategic plan projects.
- Conduct analytical studies to prepare for the next strategic plan.
- Complete the databases related to strategic planning.
- Coordinate with the various deanships and departments of the university in the field of strategic planning.
- Pursue the completion of the university's strategic plan projects related to the Faculty of Medicine.
- Prepare publications and files required in the field of strategic planning.
- Assist all departments of the college in developing their strategic plans via providing proper technical support.
Activities
- Carry out scientific seminars to disseminate the culture of strategic planning at the college.
- Perform brain storming sessions to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the college.
- Develop a proposal for the strategic plans of the college.
- Develop communication with community stakeholders.
- Communicate with the university to achieve harmony with the university and the Ministry of Higher Education plans.
- Develop Strategic Plans for College and approve it by the College council.
- Follow up the implementation of the Strategic Plan and intervention according to requirement.
