A word from the Head of The Continuing Medical Education Unit

Since the university is not a mere coincidence, it is a social production and is influenced by the social atmosphere, and since the world today is witnessing challenges and changes in the scientific, economic, cultural and social fields, and as a result of these changes and their impact on the university, the university is considered as an important tool in creating physicians and qualifying them on all the technical, professional and intellectual levels.

In the midst of these challenges and developments that actively affect the university, there protrudes the role of the Continuing Medical Education Unit in making the university more integrated and open for community service, and contributing to the academic and socialization development, and the exchange of knowledge and multiple scientific cultures with the largest possible scope of beneficiaries through the foundation of a variety of training programs which individuals cannot afford to establish. All of this participates in linking the university with knowledge connected to the improving movement of life, and highlights the value of science.

Our target is to make the Continuing Medical Education Unit a forum that gathers all doctors, students and trainees in all medical fields and not just limited to giving lectures or sessions. The comprehensive role of the Continuing Medical Education Unit also includes identifying the training needs of physicians and students, and establishing programs and activities that fulfill those needs.
